Tragedy Averted! Nine Year Old Pitcher Banned for being too Good! Save the Children!

Once again our nation shows itself to be raising a bunch of ninnies with this story of a nine-year-old kid who has broken the cardinal rule of modern American life: being better at something than the other kids. He is a great pitcher for his age, and his reward is being banned from the league. I thought his mother summed it up best:

"I think it’s discouraging when you’re telling a 9-year-old you’re too good at something," said his mother, Nicole Scott. "The whole objective in life is to find something you’re good at and stick with it. I’d rather he spend all his time on the baseball field than idolizing someone standing on the street corner."

Sorry lady, this is America, where you aren't allowed to be good at something. Everyone is good, and everyone should get a trophy, and your child is robbing those other children of all their good feelings they are supposed to get from hitting the ball.

And we wonder why our politicians act like children who see nothing but what they want. It starts from the ground up.

You might be happy to know that I'm finally writing to agree with you.

However, I'd like to ask: Which ideology, liberal or conservative, is more likely to side with those who banned the great little pitcher?

I know this is one of those subjects where conservatives like to speculate that its the liberals doing it, but as usual, they never produce any evidence to support their claim. It certainly doesn't square with my personal experience, where the two places I've seen something like this happen were a small country school and a wealthy suburban one, both in heavily conservative areas.
